Meet Emily

My journey as a yoga student began when I was competing as a Division 1 Track & Field sprinter at Princeton University. During this time, when I was pushing myself physically and mentally, I fell in love with yoga as a mechanism to step away from the hustle and pressure of other parts of my life to reconnect with myself. I realized yoga ultimately allowed me to show up as a better version of myself in the world each day.

Inspired to share these benefits with others, I completed my RYT200 yoga teacher certification in 2016. Called to further my understanding of traditional roots of the practice, I completed my RTY500 certification in the Hatha Yoga tradition in 2022 through an immersive program in Bali. In 2024, while expecting my first child, I completed my Pre-natal Yoga certification through Awakening Yoga Academy. I have taught in studios, gyms, and living rooms across the United States for over 8 years as well as part of several international yoga retreats.

My Teaching Style

My style as a yoga teacher has evolved over the years and today merges vinyasa style flows with the traditions of hatha centered on focus, alignment, and breathwork. I am deeply interested in the power of yoga to remold both our body and our nervous system (read: mind) for the better, and in my classes I seek to help my students build their own movement and mindfulness practice to serve as the foundation of a vibrant and meaningful life.
